We will be following and deploying the basic blog elements outline here by the weekend. If you use their domain then you can never transfer it. Cheap and easy doesn't mean good in the long term ( it is better to "own" rather than just rent). Wordpress allow you to use their software for free but also allow you to do it under your own domain name (Wordpress.com).
