Video Tutorial

Here is a video tutorial of just over 1 minute that demonstrates how easy it is to publish a social media crowd sourced multi-media news story in just a few minutes!

My ‘Storify’ News

Here is my social media ‘News’ story on “How Social Media Reports The Deadly Tornadoes in The USA“. This includes several sources from 4 different social media channels (Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Flickr) that have been dragged and dropped in a few seconds into the ‘story’ which are produced from a search feature within the application and presto you have a news story with rich multi-media.

How do you think you could use this latest and greatest social media publishing news platform?

I have been using Storify exclusively for a new blog on Arts & Entertainment, The Tan Post at However, I have had some real problems with it. If I put together a very short story, maybe three elements, and publish quickly (within 5 minutes) it publishes to WordPress just fine. However, if it is a longer story, that has more elements and takes me longer to put together, it won’t publish, no matter what I do. It’s been pretty frustrating. I’ve contacted them regarding the bugs twice and received no response. They are still in Beta, so hopefully they’ll work out the problems. It would be a great tool, if it worked smoothly.

These types of sites are becoming very popular. Glad to see one that is able to pull from multiple social media sites and have them arranged conveniently for readers to digest!
