    Very nice breakdown of sports trends and players via Facebook. I like the fact you went with a sports oriented approach vs. celeb-reality stars. I can admire the people above. I’m shocked to learn that M.J. isn’t doing anything with his Facebook page given the potential leverage there. Great article.

      Thanks for the comment. The reality is that some are investing heavily in optimizing Facebook and others aren’t especially the switched on Brands such Real Madrid which even has an online Facebook store. MJ is having way too much fun while still earning bucketloads to bother much with Facebook :)

    Amazing post, Jeff! It’s nice to se how social media can push a professional athlete’s personal brand and help him building a solid, engaged fan base. Every professional athlete (at least those who haven’t gained multi millions) has to think about what will be happening after his career. Having built a solid personal brand via social media can be of incredible value for the “life after”.
