    Hello,

from My point of social bookmarking really helps to increase your business but if you see from the seo purpose it doesn’t make backlinks to your website. No doubt it really gives you exposure.

    Thanx

Great post, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and even SlideShare really help you cast a bigger SEO net. The trick is keeping the message consistent and fresh. The tactics list is a great start for anyone that asks “what do we do?”. I would question some of the survey’s since they are dated, not just in time but maturity of the technology.

I am doing a little study on the true value of Facebook as it relates to SEO. Of course, many people say that since Facebook has a no follow tag on your links, there is no SEO value. Technically, this is true. However, your links will become part of the discussion and, in that respect, Facebook and social media can help your SEO efforts.

thanks for all these tips — really good stuff here

Excellent post, Jeff. I am definitely doing several of the strategies above with blogging, LinkedIn and Twitter and providing links back to the corporate site. I would be curious on statistics on how many B2B companies keep their LinkedIn Groups and Facebook Fan Pages updated and monitored versus B2C companies that will naturally generate a much larger following.

I  think DMOZ, Yahoo! and similars are like phantoms. Everyone listened about them, but none had seen them.

Thanks Andrew for the comment and questions. Panda has not stopped the importance of using key words or link building. What Google is about is trying to stop aggregators duplicating content and gaming the system. What is valuable is building and publishing original content and building organic inbound links.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your reply. When you said ‘no more than 10 key words per page,’ I assumed you meant the same key words. Did you meant 10 different, but related key words?
