as always incredible advice and tools. Thank you. This is why your email is one of the few I am keeping. Thanks again

    Hi Tehmina & Jeff,

These are indeed awesome Pinterest tools :)

While I use just a few of them because they seemed quite a handful, the others I’d soon be checking out and get started with. I do know that Pinterest IS indeed addictive – it works very well for my blog too. In-fact it’s the second most social media traffic generator for my blog. Not to mention that a few posts that are months old keep getting their daily shares, and are close to over 200 pins!

Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice weekend, both of you :)

Thanks Harleena, great to hear you are trying out a few different tools and seeing the traffic value you can get from Pinterest, 200 pins is awesome! Keep going and have a lovely weekend too :-) Tehmina

    Hi Jeff,

Always awesome tips! Thank you for sharing! What I used was just a Repinly but now I’ll give a try to the couple of more: the Woobox and Pinvolve definately. My biggest problem is lack of FB fans – let’s see whether it helps. Thanks again!

These tools are pretty interesting. The question it’s may be to create tons of images in relation with the topic of the blog and use of these tools. May to create the term Blogpin o pinblogging.

    Nice tools

    • http://www.epreneur.tv/ Tehmina Zaman

Thank you Juanjo ;-) If you blog then adding at least 1 eye-catching image to each post will not only help you get more out of Pinterest but it will also allow blog visitors to pin your posts to Pinterest. Tehmina

By far the most important tool for our clients as been Pinterest’s own Web Analytics tool. Ecommerce retailers can see the performance of their Pinterest activity in real-time and discover which Pins and Boards are driving clicks and sales on their site.

Sephora is doing a great job of growing its Pinterest following and engagement by utilizing their Pinterest Web Analytics data. They’ve found that their most popular Pinterest content includes beauty lists, colour swatches and face charts. They have capitalized on this information by creating boards that cater to their customers interests.

It will be interesting to see if Pinterest keeps their analytics tools free or builds a premium paid version like Slideshare.

Thank you Nick, that is a great point and I agree that Pinterest’s Web Analytics tool should be the first port of call for analyzing Pinterest activity. Tehmina

No problem, I’m glad you agree!

From my experience, many of these seem to be dead / unsupported / side projects at best. Pinwoot, PinAlerts, Viraltag/Pingraphy have all failed to work consistently and haven’t added many features since their launch. I still try them from time to time, hoping they’ll improve. No luck yet.

Tailwind/PinLeague has been incredibly useful for us and our clients. By far the most advanced Pinterest analytics and very helpful for finding / connecting with Influencers and Advocates. We trialed Piquora, too. It was ok at best. They offer fewer features and their data was often stale / inaccurate. Oh and the cost was like 10-20x as much. No joke. Not sure why- I guess they figure people don’t comparison shop? So, yeah, PinLeague ended up being the clear choice over them.

Thanks for sharing your experience Sally. I agree that a lot of Pinterest tools are still in beta and in the absence of a Pinterest API, tend to undergo a lot of changes. But it’s great to hear that Tailwind is working well for you! Tehmina

Just wanted to add my two cents to Reachli (currently 10alike) and Viraltag.

    10alike (formerly Reachli)

I’m not sure it’s current state, but Reachli rebranted to become 10alike, and the whole experience is a mess. When I used the service around a month ago to create a pin to direct to our website, it instead directed to a specific 10alike page and not the website at all. It was very strange. And the analytics got super funky as well. It would have repin/like numbers that were totally different than what we were actually seeing.

    Viraltag
I signed up for their premium account because I wanted to

manage two Pinterest accounts and view analytics for both accounts. For
my primary account, it was stuck saying that analytics weren’t currently
available for my account. When I tried to view analytics for my 2nd
account, it told me I had to sign up for the premium service (which I
already had). I had my credit card company cancel the payment because
after giving their customer service ample time to respond (over a week)
they still hadn’t attempted to contact me or resolve my issue. I thought
everything was taken care of, but today they attempted to charge my
credit card again. There is no way to cancel your subscription within
your settings and no way to remove your credit card number from your
account. If worse comes to worse, I will probably have to cancel my
credit card to keep them from continuing to charge me for a service
    which I am not receiving.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!
