Goal: Create a standardized “Fill-in-the-Blank” system to ensure every AI-generated image matches your corporate brand identity.
The Stack:
- Google Gemini: Creates the images based on your prompts.
- Gemini Gems: Stores your rules so you don’t have to copy-paste.
Outcome: Eliminate visual hallucinations and ensure 100% brand consistency across all team members using a shared AI “Gem.”
Most teams rely on random prompting, which results in a chaotic visual style. This playbook replaces random guessing with a Gemini Gem—a custom version of Gemini that permanently memorizes your brand’s color palette, lighting, and composition rules.
Step 1: Explore Different Visual Styles to Define Your Brand
Since you don’t have a brand image yet, you need Gemini to pitch you ideas. We will ask for distinct visual directions to see what resonates.
- Open Gemini and use this prompt:
“I am launching a brand in the [Industry] space. I want a look that feels [Adjective 1, e.g., Modern] and [Adjective 2, e.g., Trustworthy]. Generate 4 distinct images of [Subject, e.g., a laptop on a desk]. Vary these elements across the 4 images:
- Artistic Style: (e.g., 3D Render, Flat Illustration, Abstract, Photorealistic)
- Color Palette: (e.g., Neon vs. Pastel vs. Monochrome)
- Texture/Feel: (e.g., Matte, Glossy, Grainy/Film, Paper Cutout)“
- Iterate: If you see one you almost like, tell Gemini:
“I like the 3rd one. Generate 4 more variations of that style but make it brighter.”
Step 2: Analyze Your Favorite Result to Extract Technical Keywords
Once you click on an image and say “That’s it! That’s our look,” you need to find out why it looks good so the AI can repeat it. You will ask Gemini to analyze its own creation.
- Select the Winner: Keep the chat open where you generated the winning image.
- Prompt the analysis:
“I want to make this image our official Brand Style. Analyze this specific image and list the technical style keywords, lighting settings, color palette (hex codes), and composition used. Give me a comma-separated list of these ‘Style Tokens’.” - Copy the output: It will look like:
Minimalist 3D, Soft Diffused Lighting, Matte Texture, Pastel Blue #E0F7FA.
Step 3: Create a Custom “Gem” to Store Your Brand Rules
Now that you have the DNA (Step 2), we lock it into a custom Gem so you never lose it.
- Go to Gem Manager and click “New Gem.”
- Name it: “Brand Visual Generator.”
- Paste these System Instructions:
“You are the Brand Visual Guardian. Your goal is to generate images that strictly adhere to our new Visual Identity. ALWAYS apply these Style Tokens to every image prompt: [PASTE STYLE TOKENS FROM STEP 2].
NEVER use these Negative constraints: [Insert what you disliked in Step 1, e.g., Dark mode, Cartoons].
When the user gives you a subject (e.g., ‘a team meeting’), you will automatically rewrite the prompt to include the Style Tokens and generate the image immediately.”
Step 4: Generate New Images Using a Simple Text Input
Now your team doesn’t need to be creative; they just need to be descriptive. The Gem handles the style.
- Open your new Gem from the sidebar.
- Type a simple subject: “A handshake between two professionals.”
- Watch the Magic: The Gem takes your simple text, wraps it in the “DNA” you discovered in Step 2, and produces a perfectly on-brand image.
Step 5: Share the Gem with Your Team to Scale Consistency
The power of Gems is portability. You don’t need to train your team on “design”; you just give them the tool.
- Click the “Share” button inside your Gem settings.
- Copy the Link and send it to your team.
- Instruction: Tell them, “We have a new brand style. Whenever you need an image, do NOT use standard Gemini. Use this Link and just type what you need.”
