Hi,

I’ve been going LIVE a bit lately, and some legends in my community have been sending through gifts, which is awesome. But to be honest, I’m a bit in the dark about how it all actually works on the back end.

I can see the gifts get converted into “Diamonds” in my balance, but I don’t really know what that means in terms of real money. Is there a set value for a Diamond? And what’s the process for actually withdrawing the cash?

Also, I’m wondering if there are good ways to encourage gifts during a stream that feel natural and not like I’m just begging for them. Any advice on the mechanics and the strategy would be a massive help. Cheers.

These Diamonds have a fixed monetary value, and once you reach the minimum withdrawal threshold, you can cash them out. However, you must understand that TikTok keeps a significant percentage of this money as their commission. To strategically increase the number of gifts you receive, you should first set clear, achievable goals for your stream, such as announcing you’ll do a special performance if a certain Diamond target is met. Second, you must provide positive reinforcement by verbally acknowledging every gift and the username of the person who sent it.
