Really enjoyed this post. Through blogging I’ve discovered a love of writing. I write to learn. I don’t much mind who’s reading I’m just delighted each time I research and write a new blogpost that, without exception, I learn something new.

The book by Stephen King “On Writing” is worth devouring if you haven’t read it before. It is in Amazon’s Kindle store.

Just about everyone has detailed knowledge on some subject and for every topic there are potentially millions of people on the web every day that will be interested in what those expert opinions are. The internet has created an environment where anyone can share what they know with others, no matter how obscure the subject. It is this sharing of knowledge that has made us all authors. In its own way, this has changed what is acceptable in writing with the focus being more on valuable information than perfect grammar.

While you are of course right, that you are getting more practice with writing the more you do it, I focus more on the practice you already have. Most people are writing daily anyway, be it on a blog, facebook or Twitter.
