My New Book – Blogging the Smart Way an Amazon Best Seller

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has supported my blog over the last three years. It has been created with both hard work and passion.
On this blogging and social media journey I have discovered that it is the passion that provides the fuel and keeps the engine firing. It is what keeps me reading, writing and playing with the power of social media.

I have discovered that work has indeed become play.
Sometimes though when climbing out of bed at 4.30 am, 5 days a week to write, you ask the question, “Is this really worth it?”
It is when small milestones occur such as:
- People thanking you via email, Facebook, Twitter or in person for helping them make their blogging, business and social media marketing journey successful.
- When you are listed as one of “Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power Influencers“ ranked at #14
- Becoming a “Top 10 Social Media Blog Winner 2012” on Social Media Examiner this year
You then realise that you are not on your own and you are making a difference and it is all worthwhile.
One of the results of this work has been the writing, production and publishing of my new book “Blogging The Smart Way – How to Create and Market a Killer Blog with Social Media” which has now hit Amazon’s “Best Seller” Lists.
I was surprised to discover that after hitting the “publish” button last week the book had made its way to be an Amazon “Best Seller” in not just one but two categories.
#1. Amazon Best Seller – “Marketing”
This book is self published and it has been fascinating to learn the intricacies of what is involved in being a self publisher (I will tell you about that another day). We are indeed living in a time where you can take charge of your own marketing and publishing.
The democratization of marketing and publishing is indeed a reality. You do not need to wait to be picked by a publisher. You can “Pick Yourself“.
Grovelling and waiting for your manuscript to be accepted by the great gods of the publishing elite is no longer necessary.
#2. Amazon Best Seller - “Marketing for Small Business”
It also is a best seller on Amazon in “Marketing for Small Business” and also the top “Hot New Release”
It is a rather warm and fuzzy feeling to have the book cozying up to Guy Kawaski’s book on Amazon on “Hot New Releases” (see the top right box the arrow is pointing to below).
Thanks
Thanks everyone for your awesomeness and support and a new book on social media marketing is already in the skunkworks.
I look forward to the rest of the journey
Many Thanks
Jeff
