Flipboard is a social media content aggregation service that lets users grab content from anywhere and compile it into visually stunning digital magazines. It launched in 2010 with an app that was specific to the iPad. In mid-2012, an Android app was released, along with plans for a Windows phone app. The company recently launched a Web-based Flipboard portal that showcases select magazines.

    I just ran across your post and was wondering what you used
    to track Flipboard referrals (#6 above). We currently use Google Analytics and
    don’t see how to track the full referral path. The referral is only displayed
    as flipboard.com/redirect.

      I can see the referrals for Flipboard in my WordPress stats. It drives more traffic for me than Google+!!

    indeed its a great tool to drive traffic to your blog. i am able to see in my google analytics the incoming traffice from flipboard. then i thought how its bringing traffic to my blog when i am not submitting any link in it.

    later on i realized in my phone the app was installed and it was linked to my twitter profile which was sharing my tweets across. thanks for the post.

  • There is a very strong reason for using Flipboard – DESIGN and ease of reading which is fun. Flipboard has started taking the place of Feedly for me now as Feedly is no way near Flipboard for the design.

    Secondly, without much effort, it is driving me some traffic which is a pleasant surprise. I think as a blogger we should leverage this channel to increase our outreach.
