    Great tips as usual, Jeff.
After reading a bajillion versions of these tips, all useful I might add, what are the top two or three that have had the biggest impact on (1) YOUR personal blog popularity and (2) blog promotion in the early days?

  • http://www.idearella.com Bon “Idearella” Crowder

Clipped to Evernote. I’m going to refer to this often and share it with the folks at work.

  • http://www.idearella.com Bon “Idearella” Crowder

Hmm… It just occurred to me that the comment I made seems very spammy. So I’ll continue by writing that although 90 tips are quite overwhelming, clipping them and biting them off a few at a time is much more manageable.

I’m struggling with a 31 points of building a better blog eBook – 90, well, wow. Ouch.

    But I’ll get to them.

Oh, yeah, I’ll get to them!

Nice addition in #63 :) – Did you start using it yet?
I must say that new tips are all one better
than the other. I think your next post should be with 101 Blogging tips. Did some good research about click bank and will look
    more into #77, very interesting.
    As always Great Job Jeff.

I actually follow your blog for my job; however, I have a personal blog that I write. It’s been a fun thing to do in my spare time, but I would love for it to grow. Unfortunately, I wasn’t quite sure how to do that. This post is fantastic and I am eager to implement many of your ideas. Thank you!

This is, to be frank, an incredible post and will fuel thousands of bloggers to step up their game. It is in some ways overwhelming but as Bon suggests above, the ones that are most relevant and useful should be used first.

    Thanks Jeff, we’re indebted.

Here’s a blog tip: Unless you are posting a Top 100, no list should have 90 items on it. Geesh.
Re-title it: ’90 days of blog topics’ because ’90 blog tips’ is kind of crazy and most of them are good topics for future blog posts.

    # 91 – Learn to use apostrophes so readers know the first time through what the relationship is between your words. The first ten or so tips are so riddled with words that cried out for apostrophes that some people might even stop reading. Seriously, coming across as someone with little control of (grade 3) grammar is not an attraction for your blog.

Otherwise an interesting list, where everyone, however experienced, will find something useful.

Jokingly RTing this ’100 woulda been too many?!’ – b/c your list Jeff makes a very good point. Blogging is more than ‘type, publish, auto-tweet,’ it is a lot of WORK. If you’re blogging as a professional or for a business, all these details – social integration, plugins, SEO, slides and on and on – they matter. FWIW.

Excellent list Jeff! I do have a question, though, on #3, how do you find what your customers problems are when you’re just starting out and you’re trying to grow an audience? Thanks in advance.

    • http://jeffbullas.com Jeff Bullas

It is sometimes hard to know. One way is to visit the blogs of the top bloggers in your niche or industry or niche and see what they are writing about. Also check out the comments on their posts. That should provide some insights. Hope that helps.
