Well done Pamela.  So is it safe to assume you made six figures with your blog last year?

    Thanks for the article/advice Pamela.

    • Pamela Schott

      You’re welcome, William.

@Steve Hughes: Our blog was just launched in the fall of 2011, but yes, we are on track to make six figures in 2012 with it. Client blogs that we were instrumental in developing in 2011 also hit mid-six figures within a 12-month cycle, all by following this formula, so it’s a sound strategy. Thanks for the comment!

Pamela, what landing page software would you recommend for most blogs?  I am trying to make my blog a profitable business but it’s definitely no where near six figures.  I am trying to find the best ways to generate traffic to my blog.  I know you prefer blogs to be an “inside job”.

I just had a meeting with my SEO professional who doesn’t believe in blogging, kinda funny that I then read this! Really loved the article. Found it useful and doable! Thinking I just may have to work on blogging :) Thank you!!

    Great,
Great Blog very helpful and provides guidance. I certainly agree that success is a small percentage and its defiantly what you do, who you are and what’s inside makes the business succeed.

    great read thank you

Pamela – these steps make a great outline/guide/checklist when preparing to write a meaningful blog article.

WE are in the planning stages of building our own original articles on AgooBiz with various guest posters & some resident authors. For starters, WE will have 3 categories [Social Media, Social Commerce, and Business Development]. Once I’m comfortable with our initial blogs’ direction, audience make-up, and readership numbers, more categories will follow.

Our blog endeavors will be trial & error at first. But with time and experience we’ll refine our strategies. WE will be using your 5 steps [in addition to the tips WE found in the posted articles listed in the "more reading" section above] before approving any new compositions/publications. Rather than making 6 figures from our blogs [which would never hurt], WE are focused more on providing valuable business development information to small businesses. Your blogging tips can be used to reach more goals than your catchy title suggests. Researching what works and what doesn’t will hopefully help us reach those goals.

    Thanks for these valuable tips.

Be helpful. It’s the only way people will be attracted or come back to your blog.

I have done all of this, yet I still have no idea how to monetize my blog. It’s so confusing to me, that I almost don’t care anymore, however… A little bit of me DOES! lol!
