In the last decade, we’ve witnessed dramatic changes to the marketing landscape through the rise of new technologies and online platforms, including blogging, social networking and mobile communities.
I was recently invited to speak on a panel at a marketing event by Networx in Sydney to discuss and answer questions on the topic “Digital and Online: What’s Next? ” with my contribution being on the topics of social media and blogging.
The event is run by events and marketing specialist Brazen Productions. Both businesses share the same founder, Kimberly Palmer. They promote and deliver educational and inspirational networking seminar events to people in business, marketing, communication, PR, creative and digital. In Sydney, Networx’s networking events are managed by Double Edge PR, a PR company.
The other speakers included:
Mark Pollard, Strategy Director at McCann Sydney who has worked on digital and online brand campaigns for brands such as Mastercard, Uncle Tobys and Kleenex. He was also listed in Adnews’ Top 40 Under 40′ and is considered one of Sydney’s top creative catalysts. (Check out Mark’s blog he has some pretty cool insights)
The other panellist was Brad Eldridge, Creative Director, Soap Creative, has worked on the agency’s award winning campaigns for Lynx, Cornetto and Mambo. Soap was recently named Australasia’s number one digital agency according to a survey conducted by the country’s top marketing blog, Bannerblog. (by the way Brad and his team have just launched a major retailers digital online campaign that is worth checking out.. read more)
The video below runs for 5 minutes and shows the three panelists responding to questions from the audience after the moderated panel discussion.
