Pretty standard stuff IMO. Maybe if it was 2009.

Well-designed facebook pages, yes.  But examples to support the theory that we ALL have design genius in us?  I don’t see that here.  I DO see examples of creative work funded by some of the most financially successful brands in the world who can afford to pay elite designers to create this stuff.  Most mom and pop’s can’t afford this scale of development, even if they could conceive of it.

Perhaps these are better couched as reminders that Facebook is becoming more friendly to brands that want to heavily customize their “in-Facebook” user experience.

Thanks for the comment Dave. The introduction piece was not meant to say that we have design genius within all of us but that we all have different types of genius, for one person that may be music for another cooking, That is what was meant. Cheers :)

is there any data to support that people log on to facebook to give a damn about brands? If you were to offer me a coupon for free a free can of soda would I take the offer, sure. Would that build loyalty. No. Unless you mean loyalty to anyone giving away free stuff.

I go to facebook to connect with my friends not to like ad campaigns. And the new Leo conversation starter ads. Shite.
