Twitter is in it to win it!

Hey Jeff – first I’ve read of this – great information as always. Smart idea on their part – I had pretty much given up twittering, this will cause me to reconsider.

Just seen the new Twitter interface and I HATE it! Hard to find stuff like DMs. Also not a fan of having the Tweets on the Right! I say go back to the original view

I am a self-proclaimed twitter-holic. I wholeheartedly agree with Dennis Carpenter’s comment, “Twitter is in it to win it.” Thanks Jeff for explaining the new changes simply and clearly. I am glad to know ahead of time. :)

Well, we know the last chapter has not yet been written on social media, don’t we? In the live networking I do the best exercise and evolution I saw was as our group grew in number, and the commercials went from a tomb, to 90, to 60, and now 30 seconds. The discipline to say something brief yet significant is powerful, and that is Twitter’s strength. It’s not where you satisfy the yearnings of the mind, it is where you simply focus enough neurons on a topic to create the curiosity that evokes the yearning, and then it’s the filter for where one may direct their attention. As long as they don’t lose that niche functionality and try to become what the others already are, they’ll do fine. I guess it was time to change or die. Let’s see if this gets them off the endangered social medium list.

Twitter is really familiar to every one. I am also the biggest fan for twitter. But creating logo for twitter is really complicated one. Anyway my hearty wishes for twitter.

    Thnx for the info.

These changes seem more focused on Twitter as a broadcast power use model. For that, they are perfect. For that average non-power user, it’s a bit much to handle in one gulp.

The new thing I like most as a blogger is the imbed tweet feature that we discussed on avc.com yesterday. Great addition.

The Brand Page is seems to be internalizing what Twylah has been doing. @erickim:disqus the CEO  might have more to add on this.

Mobile clients also had a lick of paint. As a response TweetBot is on sale so if you don’t like the new Twitter client on iPhone would recommend taking advantage of that

Thanks Jessica for your comments. It will be interesting to see how the Twitter “Brand Pages” and their evolution pans out over the next 12 months.

Can you please explain in more detail how separating out a brand’s @replies and mentions helps dilute noise? Does it improve reporting capabilities?

Try it again, it seems to be working now

  • Jamelshorter

I don’t see the change yet.
