This is an interesting article. Good information to know about the value of a share on social media platform.
By the way, (from the analytics on writer’s blog) Twitter sharing drives much more traffic than Facebook. It’s true. In my opinion, Twitter good as a share tool for users to follow links because It’s less text, short, easy and fast more than Facebook.

It sounds like your traffic driving experience with Twitter echoes both mine and Eventbrite’s

Interesting infographic. As I have a fairly new blog that doesn’t sell anything yet apart from an opt in box for my mailing list, I noticed that although Twitter and Facebook sends almost the same amount of traffic, the level of engagement (measured using time on site, pages/visits, bounce rate) for visitors from Facebook is significantly higher.

What this infographic points out well is the importance of keeping a diversified social media program. Even though Twitter drives more traffic than LinkedIn and Facebook, it is not the platform that creates conversions. Facebook converts traffic at a much higher rate. This is why businesses should keep their accounts connected so that Twitter followers can click through to Facebook, and vice-versa. The more opportunities social followers have for conversion, the better chance you will have of acquiring new customers.

I am also finding that my Twitter followers are increasing dramatically. I think Twitter is gaining serious traction with many more active users.

It would be interesting to see what Facebook looked like if they removed the Edgerank that currently only allows approximately only 15% of all page updates to appear in the Timeline which Google+ does not seem to apply to its stream.

You would need to check with Eventbrite but they have their own systems for tracking the numbers
